• Vintage Tin Toy Robots and Space Toys - First appeared in the 1940's as 6" tall Windup Robots named "Lilliput" and "Atomic Robotman". The Tin Toy Robot market grew strong in the 1950's and 1960's thanks to the "Space Race" era. Battery Operated Robots began production at this time in the form of the infamous "Robby the Robot", "Zoomer Robot", "Cragstan's Mr. Robot", and many more. The 1960's introduced one of the most long lived Tin Toy Robots referred to as Rotatomatics produced by the Horikawa Co.
• Reproduction Tin Toy Robots - "Smoking Spaceman Robot" was one of the first Reproduction Robots produced around 1985. The Reproduction Tin Toy Market for Robots and Space Toys took hold in the 1990's when "Metal House", "Osaka Tin Toy", "Tin Tom Toy", and "Robot Island" entered the marketplace. Osaka Tin Toy is best known for their amazing exact reproductions of Robby the Robot, Mr. Atomic Robot, and Robby Space Patrol. These companies made collecting Robots and Space Toys more affordable and fun again!
• Super Hero Robot Toys - Companies such as Bullmark, Popy, Takatoku, and Billiken produced the majority of Super Hero Tin Toys. Most widely known are Astro Boy, T-28 (Gigantor), and Giant Robot from Johnny Sokko. In the 1990's Osaka Tin Toy and Billiken reintroduced reproduction tin toys of these same Japan Super Hero Characters.
