Planet Robot Blue Male Robot stands 9" tall and functions via key wind-up motor. Very interesting robot design obviously based off the new 20th Century Fox animation movie "ROBOTS". Planet Robot walks with mechanical striding arms and he even has a very cool lithographed all tin rocket pack on his back. Planet Robot is very comical and clunky and has a lot of personality.

Comical Planet Robot is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! On a purely artistic note these robots are a cut above many of the current reproduction robots on the market. The spherical joints at the elbows shoulders and knees accent the tear drop shaped torso of this unique and original robot. I have yet to see photos posted of the lithographed rocket pack on the back of the torso. There are two nicely shaped rockets that make the pack, yellow and red on the female and blue and red on the male. The claw hands are made of red plastic.The fact that these robots have nice full arms that move back and forth when the robot is in motion is a refreshing break from the no-arms, paper thin or frozen arms on most of the current reproductions. The wind up mechanism works smoothe but traverses the robot a short distance for a good wind of about five cranks on the key. The paint on the torso of the blue model is a pearlized light powder blue, the arms and legs are plain. There are a few as-made paint scratches in different spots-a sign of a lower quality paint job. Over all, I rate this as a good robot of a nice size and a must-have for the robot collector! Really different and very artistic!
