Robby the Robot is admired as one of the most famous Sci-Fi Robots of all time since he first appeared in 1958 in the movie "Forbidden Planet". Robby is brand new condition mint and boxed from Japan.

I received the silver model of this robot and it is my favorite! there are so many features...he walks very smoothly his speaking plate is brightly lit w sparks, he has alternately rotating antennae and a scrolling lithograph bar inside his dome, all with only wind-up mechanisms! he winds solidly and has a smooth on-off switch. even better than a more expensive model which has fewer moving mechanisms...I love this bot! thanks robot island for another great purchase. this is one of my first big purchases, and it gave me the fever to collect...like being 10 y/o on Christmas when I opened it!
