If you're a Gigantor/Tetsujin28 fan, then this robot is a no-brainer. Although the original Gigantor is Japanese, this bot is made in China. It's budget price coupled with it's classic 60s Japanese-inspired kitsch styling make it a must have in the collection.

Although the lithography is not super detailed, it is bright and colorful--much more so than the original Gigantor on which it is based. The clockwork mechanism is solid, with a steady walking-gait; the arms swing side to side too. There is a small switch in the middle of the chest that serves to release the clockwork mechanism. This switch is very small and can countersink into the chest.

One of the small things I like about this robot is the jetpack, which is not really visible in the picture. It's red, yellow, grey, black and white and just styled pretty neat. They could have left it off and still sold the robot--however it's a nice touch that gives the old boy a little extra character.
