Battery operated functions include: mechanical walking action, striding arms, lighted bouncing pistons in it's chest, and mechanical springy antennas on its shoulders. Today i received 3 Robots from Robot Island. One of them is the Piston Robot from Metal House. The plum colour looks much more better than i thougt - its a mix between plum and dark chocolate. It is a pleasure to watch the walking robot in action and see the lighted pistons working up and down. Another great robot from Metal House!

A nice robot from Metal House. A unique plum color offsets the detailed, bright lithography. Classic styling, solid action and construction, and smooth operation make for a very nice piece. There is the obvious 'fun factor' of seeing the 6 pistons furiously pump up and down in the robot's chest cavity, however, there is something that is especially striking when watching this robot in operation. The light in the robot's chest that illuminates all of the action going on also sets off the radiant colors of the few brillantly colored plastic pieces that are within this mostly tin robot. This makes for a very captivating and luminous glow emanating from the Piston Robot. Good stuff!

I just received this stunning Metal House piston robot that recaptures the mechanical charm and superb quality of the old Horikawa line. The pistons are brilliantly lit, lithography surrounding them intricate and pleasing. The rich plum color is amazing. The chrome earmuffs add a touch of real class to the well-known and loved square-head design. The motor's smooth--as are the striding arms and oscillating spring antennae. A great robot. My thanks to Jay for the great job he does making wonderful finds like this available to collectors.
